Featured because it is live now: the Minnesota State Fair — the Great Minnesota Get-Together — open Aug. 27 through Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2026 (12 days). We only feature a festival while it is actually running. Opening Thursday, Aug. 27, drew 155,185 people, a record for that Thursday. Later days this year are not posted yet; the fair posts the next afternoon, noon–3 p.m. Last full run, 2025: 1,940,869. 2024: 1,925,904. Record total: 2,126,551 (2019). Record single day: 270,426 (Saturday 2018).

The State Fairgrounds sit in Falcon Heights, midway between the Minneapolis and St. Paul downtowns, along Snelling Avenue and Como Avenue. Official Getting there pages cover Park & Ride, buses, and on-site parking.
